The objective of this program is to develop
your child's golf to a level where golf can be a career option,
or so they can win a fully paid international golf scholarship.
The ACT/NSW Golf Scholarship Program incorporates
all of the below:
Before School
Program - this is run at your child's school 7.45am -
8.45am. COST: $100 for 10 weeks for each week in the
school term.
After School
Southern Cross Pitch'n'Putt, Woden - this program
runs after school 4-5pm Various school days each week of the
school term. COST: $12 per day or $100 for the term
(paid in advance).
Saturday
Afternoon Fairbairn Golf Course - This program
introduces your child to playing on a full length course so they
can apply the skills & techniques learnt in the Before School &
Pitch'nPutt programs. Each Saturday 5-6.30pm during
each school term at Fairbairn Golf Course. COST: $10 per
week + Annual membership to the Golf Club ($50).
School
Holiday Intensive Program - this program runs in the
Summer, Autumn & Spring school holidays at Fairbairn Golf Club, Murrmbidgee Country Club/Fairbairn golf club.
Each day 8.30am - 5.00pm. COST: $250 for 5 days.
School
Holiday Southern Cross Pitch'n'Putt (Woden) Program -
this program runs every school holidays, several timeslots of
1.75 hours during on select days in the holidays. COST: $65
(enquire about Southern Cross club discounts).
Murrumbidgee Country Club after school programs. Monday primary age golf clinic 4-5pm $10 per session.
Tuesday High School age golf clinic 4-5pm $10 per session.
Friday Open age 4-6pm $10 per session.
Braidwood Golf Club. Wednesday after school open age golf clinic and competition 3.15-5pm $5 per session.
Various Sunday afternoon PGF Tour Events see PGF Tour.
PGF Future
Stars Tour Events - the host club for this event is
Braidwood Golf Club. The aim is to have every golf club in
the district host one of these events each year. This
event is a nationally recognised 3, 6 & 9 hole event, open to
all children, but it's focus is on primary aged children. This
event provides children with an opportunity to play golf at a
variety of golf courses and in a competitive environment - all
contributing to giving children real golf experiences at a young
age. COST: $15 per event.
ACT/NSW Golf Scholarship Program
Membership
This membership entitles your child to attend
as many of the above programs as they want for just $625 per
annum. This adds up to about 275 hours of golf tuition
during the year. Members also receive a written report at
the end of each term showing their progress during the term &
aspects of their game they need to work on. This
membership is perfect for those children who are really
committed to golf and who want to constantly improve their
skills.
WAIT, there's
more...........
Each time your child completes any of the above
programs they receive a certificate. When they have 5
certificates received during the calendar year (Jan - Dec) they
receive a fitted golf club!!!
In addition, your child may be selected to win
an annual ACT/NSW Golf Scholarship Program membership (containing
golf tuition valued in excess of $2000 per annum).
